Regular expressions (regex) are an important part of using a CAT tool at the intermediate to advanced level. Regex can be used for a variety of purposes from filtering the source and or target content of a file, to batch editing multiple target segments; from capturing untranslatable placeholders and variables to convert them into tags in standard file types such as MS Word, MS Excel, and others, to creating custom translatable content extraction rules when working with non-standard file types. This session will demonstrate all four applications in Wordfast Pro.

In this session, Reginaldo will bring a set of sample texts with problems that can be solved using Wordfast Pro features and settings (Preferences, TXLF filters, regex, etc.).
